Four new minibuses have been designed to ‘meet a range of passenger transport needs,’ with high-spec safety systems also available
Iveco has launched the New Daily Minibus. Available in four different models, with a choice of diesel, electric and natural gas power, they have been designed to meet a range of passenger transport needs.
The New Daily Minibus also introduces a wide range of advanced driver assistance Systems to improve safety onboard, for both passengers and driver. These systems include: City Brake Pro, Queue Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Hill Descent Control and Traction Plus.
Four choices
The Daily Pop, designed for transporting schoolchildren, is available in three different lengths and engine ratings (160bhp, 180bhp and 210bhp).
The Daily Start, described as an “entry-level” minbus, is available with either a 150bhp or a 180bhp engine and three different lengths also. The Start offers multiple interior layouts to accommodate up to 22 passengers.
An intercity minibus with the largest passenger capacity in its category, the Daily Line is also available, in three lengths. There are three door types – manual, electric or sliding – and with different seating configurations, it can accommodate up to 22 passengers.
The last of the four models is a minibus designed for touring. The Daily Tourys, fitted with the exclusive eight-speed Hi-Matic transmission, is equipped with rear air suspension, air conditioning, an audio-visual multimedia setup, USB points for each pair of seats and LDWS driving assistance system, which prevents the driver from being distracted or falling asleep.
Safety features
The advanced emergency braking system and City Brake Pro prevents collisions at speeds below 50 km/h or mitigates the impact at higher speeds.
It autonomously detects a potential collision ahead and brakes accordingly. City Brake Pro operates to prevent accidents when driving as slowly as 5 km/h.
Adaptive Cruise Control, which maintains the set speed and safety distance from the vehicle ahead, and ProActive Lane Keeping Assist, which prevents from involuntarily drifting out of the lane, is also available.
If driving in heavy traffic, Queue Assist will aid by following the vehicle ahead and automatically operating the accelerator and brakes to keep their place in a queue. While City Mode increases the power steering assistance, reducing the effort to turn the wheel by up to 70%.
Iveco says the new minibus “takes connectivity to a new level, unlocking a world of highly-personalised services tailored to the driver’s use of the vehicle.”
