London fleet continues investment with three 10,8m models for ‘seamless fit’ into existing fleet
London operator Anderson Travel has taken delivery of a trio of mid-sized Plaxton Panther Cubs as it continues to invest ahead of the implementation of the capital’s Ultra Low Emission Zone.
The three 10.8m coaches are built on Volvo B8R chassis. Two are 38-seat vehicles with leather seats, servery, washroom, LED lighting and entertainment system, and third is a 45-seater with a similar finish.
Says Managing Director Mark Anderson: “The Plaxton range offers flexibility and the new Panther Cubs will fit seamlessly into our operation, adding to our product offering and enhancing our reputation for tailor-made solutions.”
The coaches have real-time tracking and telematics, and they will be used on corporate work and hospitality, private hires and excursions, with Mr Anderson describing the new Panther Cubs as “a big bonus” in all of these areas.
They follow significant investment in new coaches already in 2017 by Anderson Travel. It has taken a large batch of Scania Interlink HD Finesses, and recently received two Barbi Gallileo-bodied MAN RR2s, split between the Anderson Travel fleet and its London Minicoaches subsidiary.
