Good experience with the first coach led Poppletons back to MOBIpeople

Pontefract-based Frank Poppleton and Co has purchased a second MAN RR8 with MOBIpeople Explorer bodywork, supplied by BASE Coach Sales (01772 425355).

The 12.5m coach has 70 seats and it will be used on college contracts.

Says Director Nigel Poppleton: “The combination of a wide aisle and dual nearside doors allows quick and easy access, and legroom is very good.

“The MAN driveline is whisper quiet and when combined with the ZF EcoLife gearbox, both drivers and passengers are finding the new vehicles to be a real success.

“The price was very competitive and it allowed us to purchase a tractor/snow plough that kept our own fleet working, and the college car park open, during the recent winter blast.”
