Reading Buses has been recognised for its work with arts, culture, heritage and education, with nominations for three awards for the Reading Cultural Awards 2018.
The nominations are for: Business Partnership of the Year, Cultural Space of the Year and Partnership of the Year.
It recognises the Moving Gallery project which was a Reading Buses double-decker transformed into a temporary travelling curated art space.
Martijn Gilbert, Reading Buses CEO says: “Reading Buses has been built on a rich history of engagement and support for arts in the community and we are delighted to have been recognised with nominations in three categories of this year’s Reading Cultural Awards.
“Following the success of Light Up Reading, and partnerships with Reading Rep theatre and John Madejski Academy (JMA), we have built on a strong and growing base of supporting and partnering arts organisations and education.
“This is not just a one-off – it is a growing area of importance to the business. We are reaching out across the whole community to go above and beyond to promote and support the synergy between arts and business to make Reading an even more enriched place to live, work and play.”
