Nigel Poynton has been appointed Area Sales Manager for the Midlands and North of England by Stertil-Koni as the heavy-duty vehicle lift supplier strengthens its national sales team.

Mr Poynton has over 20 years’ experience in the garage equipment industry. He brings a strong track record in sales, service management and key account development, Stertil-Koni points out.

Prior roles saw him progress through a variety of positions, from engineer coordinator to service manager and area sales manager disciplines. That gives a strong understanding of both customer requirements and workshop operators, the supplier adds.

Stertil-Koni General Manager Derrick Peel – who took up that position in September – has welcomed Mr Poynton, noting: “We are delighted to have Nigel join the team. His depth of industry experience, combined with his customer-focused approach, makes him a great fit for Stertil-Koni.

“We are confident that he will play an important role in strengthening our presence across the Midlands and North and supporting customers with the high level of service and expertise they expect from Stertil-Koni.”

Adds Mr Poynton: “Throughout my career in the garage equipment industry, Stertil-Koni has always stood out as a brand that represents quality, innovation, and reliability.

“The company has an excellent reputation within the sector, so when the opportunity arose to work directly for the manufacturer, it was an easy decision to make. I am really looking forward to building strong relationships with customers across the Midlands and North, developing new business opportunities, and being part of the Stertil-Koni team.”
