National Express has partnered with Mobile Onboard to deliver its first mobile ticketing project, which is powered by MyMobileTickets Enterprise platform.
The six-month trial sees National Express market-test its "Multiride" mobile ticketing on trans-Pennine commuter routes between Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Bradford.
The National Express Multiride tickets are the first to use MyMobileTickets’ new Redeem-on-Scan feature.
The operator is using the MyMobileTickets payment gateway, which allows its customers to easily purchase tickets on smartphones and the National Express website by card, PayPal or by pre-paid mobile wallet.
