UVeye’s Artemis tyre inspection system will soon be used for the first time in a bus fleet.
Powered by artificial intelligence, it comprises two scanners that stand at the side of the vehicle as it drives past.
In seconds, the system recognises the tyre brand, markings and technical specifications as well as safety-related data such as condition, pressure, abrasion and scratches. It can also compare tyre pressures on the vehicle.
The information, and a high-resolution image, is then presented to the operator for actioning.
