JKT International of Walsall has taken delivery of a Scania K 360 EB with PSVAR-compliant Irizar i6S bodywork.
It is the sixth Scania Irizar for the operator’s 12-strong fleet. The 12.9m, two-axle coach has 53 half leather seats with three-point belts, a hot drinks dispenser, a DVD player and two monitors and a reversing camera.
“Although these times are extremely tough, we made the decision to continue our investment programme in new PSVAR-compliant vehicles,” says JKT International Director Jawed Akhtar.
Mr Akhtar adds that Scania’s service delivery appeals to the West Midlands operator, in addition to product quality and customer and driver appeal. “We have a long-standing partnership with Scania and we have always received excellent service from its pre- and after-sales departments.”
The new coach comes with an inclusive two-year repair and maintenance contract. Service will be provided by local Scania dealership Keltruck Willenhall.
The 12.9m, two-axle Scania Irizar i6S was added to the chassis supplier’s existing Irizar-bodied range in late 2019. The continental door was relocated to permit a good seat pitch for all passengers, delivering what Scania describes as “the utmost comfort.”
