Yellow Buses is returning as the main headline sponsor of the Destination Management Board – Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Tourism Awards in 2022.
The 19 awards will recognise excellence among BCP businesses that make up the region’s tourism offer and keep it attractive to both visitors and residents.
Yellow Buses made a stir in 2020 when, despite COVID-19 restrictions, it personally delivered the awards on its specially liveried awards bus.
The 2022 Awards will kick off in February with closing date for entries in July. Finalists will be announced in September and a gala evening and presentation is planned to take place in November.
Tim Seward, who represents the accommodation sector on the Destination Management Board, will manage and deliver the awards. He will be supported by BCP Council, and Chair and Vice Chair of the Board David Bailey and Craig Mathie (respectively) who will judge.
“I am very pleased and honoured to have been given the opportunity to be the new main lead for the Destination Management Board Tourism Awards 2022,” Mr Seward says. “I look forward to making next year’s awards the best the area has seen in a number of years.”
Adds David Squire, Managing Director of Yellow Buses and Yellow Coaches: “Tourism is the backbone of our local economy. We are proud to support the awards in recognising and rewarding local businesses and their people.”
