National Holidays, part of JG Travel Group, has opened a new dedicated holiday booking centre in Hull.
Located on Paragon Street, the new shop provides a dedicated space for people in the region to book coach breaks with National Holidays.
The shop represents JG Travel Group’s first investment in a retail outlet for one of its brands, which also includes Just Go! Holidays and Omega Breaks.
National Holidays had a retail shop under its previous owners Specialist Leisure Group (SLG) and feedback had shown customers missed interacting with staff on a face-to-face basis.
“Hull is a key booking region for our National Holidays brand and one of its biggest pick-up points, so this was a natural step for us in our growth strategy,” explains Matthew Herbert, commercial director at JG Travel Group. “This is the first time The JG Travel Group has invested in a retail outlet for one of its brands, and it is a hugely exciting development for us.
“This new holiday booking centre boasts a great location and will help build our brand further in this region, while also providing a great place for us to promote all our products.”
Three full-time staff currently man the booking centre, two of whom worked for SLG. The operator currently offers 1,000 departures from Hull in 2022 on more than 250 coach break itineraries.
“We’ve managed to recruit staff that have a huge amount of experience and their knowledge of both the industry, and how coach breaks operate, will be invaluable to us going forward,” adds Mr Herbert.
