Peter Hogg of Jedburgh has taken delivery of a pair of Alexander Dennis Enviro200s. Each is 9.7m long and has 34 SmartSeats and USB charging points. Seats are trimmed in a dark moquette to match the grey wood-effect flooring that is part of the Scottish Borders operator’s bespoke specification.
Continuing a tradition, the new buses are named after animated film characters Betty Boop and Peter Pan. Those monikers have additional meaning for the business, as they also commemorate the late Peter Hogg and Betty Hogg.
Delivery of further Enviro200s follows good results with an earlier example. That bus was the first of its kind for Peter Hogg. “It has proved to be such a reliable performer in our fleet that we were delighted to choose the Enviro200 again for this year’s investment,” says Director Annelisse Hogg.
“The ability to tailor these to our own specification has been a real pleasure, giving us the perfect vehicle for our needs.” she continues.
SmartPack fuel reduction technology is fitted to the new arrivals, meaning that they are accredited with Low Emission Bus status.
Adds Alexander Dennis Retail Sales Director Charlie Miller: “The choice of names for this year’s new Enviro200 buses is a touching gesture from Annie and her team, and it really embodies the kind culture at Peter Hogg.
“I am looking forward to continuing to support this great independent operator as it provides vital bus services in the Scottish Borders.”
