Shropshire’s Stokesay Castle has opened a new 44-seater tea room.
The English Heritage site has converted a former potter’s cottage into a welcoming tea room, with an emphasis on traditional Shropshire fare.
Coach drivers and tour leaders get a free lunch, and group members (11+) receive 10% off.
The tea room has a wood burning stove to make it cosy in winter and plenty of outdoor seating for summer. It serves local favourites including Shropshire Fidget Pie, Shrewsbury Biscuits and Shropshire Blue.
Groups of 11+ get 15% discount at English Heritage properties.
