National Express Coventry has appointed Matt King as its new Operations Manager.
Matt started out in transport as a National Express Customer Service Assistant at the age of 16 in Pool Meadow bus station.
He says: “I’m delighted to have returned to National Express, where I first started my career in transport 11 years ago. Being born and bred in Coventry, I’m extremely passionate about my part in helping to deliver the city’s bus services.
“I’m looking forward to working together with our people and our partners across the region to carry even more happy passengers, enhancing our product and developing our service delivery.”
Matt began driving National Express Coventry buses while studying Transport Management at Aston University in Birmingham.
After successfully completing his degree, he joined a graduate programme with Go Ahead.
In 2016, Matt joined morebus as an Assistant Operations Manager and then in 2017 he moved back to Coventry and joined Trentbarton as a Service Delivery Manager.
He returned to National Express last year as an Assistant Operations Manager before becoming Operations Manager at the Ford Street depot in Coventry.
