DrivenPeople is not just a recruitment app; DrivenPeople is a community. Designed to simplify the driver resourcing process and eliminate the middleman, the innovative new platform connects operators and drivers directly, saving time and money.

Having witnessed firsthand the challenges plaguing the driving industry, particularly the growing driver shortage, the team behind DrivenPeople decided to tackle the problem head on. Working with numerous transport operators and drivers from across the UK, they used the valuable input and feedback provided to create a tailored app that tackles these issues and improves the industry for everyone involved.

By implementing strict processes to ensure all drivers and operators are compliant and accountable, including automated compliance checks and transparent star ratings and reviews, DrivenPeople are able to provide their network of operators with their own pool of reliable, consistent and compliant drivers, matching their job requirements to the very best approved and certificated drivers in local areas to fill vacancies in no time.

With streamlined processes, automated timesheets and weekly invoices, DrivenPeople helps operators manage driver’s shifts effortlessly, including reviewing, approving, or disputing timesheets via our web portal or by reaching out to our local customer support team.

DrivenPeople operates on a peer-to-peer model, which eliminates the need to employ traditional recruitment agents and significantly reduces operational costs. By leveraging the platform and direct connections between drivers and employers, we can pass these savings on to our drivers and operators. As a result, DrivenPeople offer fees that are, on average, 50% lower than those charged by conventional recruitment agencies.

Rethinking the way drivers find work nationwide, the platform automatically matches driver’s profiles, skills and qualifications with new jobs that fit their working schedule, providing fairer wages, more efficient processes and unparalleled satisfaction.

For example, if an operator has a requirement for 8 additional drivers over the 2 month peak season, an agency will charge anywhere between 25-40% on top of the drivers wage. At £17.50 per hour, the agency’s charge rate will typically be ~£23.50. In 40 hour weeks this equates to £15,360. With the DrivenPeople platform, the same operator can post a job requirement where they want to pay the driver even more than the agency option, £18.50. The DrivenPeople platform fee is consistent and transparent at 10%, always. This means the effective charge rate will be £20.35. The total DrivenPeople fee for drivers who are being paid £1 per hour more than a traditional agency will be £4,736. DrivenPeople is a game changer, this operator will save £10,624 by using DrivenPeople whilst simultaneously having more motivated drivers on higher wages. This saving in 2 months for an 8 driver requirement is already staggering, imagine a larger operator across a larger pool of agency drivers moving to DrivenPeople – in this scenario, a requirement for 50 agency drivers transferring to a DrivenPeople solution will see drivers paid £104,000 more overall over a year whilst the operator saves £327,000.

DrivenPeople are working with some of the UK’s top Van, HGV and PSV operators. The platform caters for a range of types of operator; from small local outfits looking for 1-2 drivers part time, up to large national operators that have requirements for 50+ drivers. DrivenPeople gives all types of operators free access to a compliant pool of motivated, consistent and transparently rated drivers. For larger companies.

DrivenPeople are in a discovery phase, having soft-launched in August. The team are actively looking for larger haulage, courier and bus companies to trial the platform across larger pools of drivers. DrivenPeople are open to developing new features in partnership with operators that have requirements for 20+ drivers. Please get into contact with the management team to open these discussions.

Change how your company finds drivers and book a demo with the DrivenPeople today.

andy burnham tfgm £15.6 billion (1) The funding announced by Chancellor Rachel Reeves today (4 June) has been allocated to several combined mayoral authorities to use on rail, tram, road and bus infrastructure. Transport for Greater Manchester revealed today that part of the £2.5 billion it will receive will go towards making the Bee Network fully battery-electric by 2030. An as-yet undecided portion of that will support a planned investment in 1,000 new zero-emission buses over that period, the mayoral authority said. That is part of plans to build the UK's "first fully integrated, zero-emission public transport system", with trams and trains also set to benefit. Liverpool City Region's already announced BRT system is among the projects to which its £1.6 billion will be allocated. Under those plans - due for realisation by 2028 - a high-speed network will be served by articulated buses which are modelled on the 'Glider' in Belfast. It is due to link Liverpool city centre with John Lennon Airport, and Liverpool FC and Everton FC's respective stadia along three routes. Although the model of bus has not been confirmed, a Van Hool Exqui.City on loan from Belfast was last year used as a demonstrator. That 18m vehicle can accommodate around 30% more passengers than a typical bus and has three sets of double doors. The funding will also go towards buses elsewhere in the city as the region heads towards franchising services by 2027. Liverpool Mayor Steve Rotheram with a 'Glider' which was on loan from Belfast last year - an example of the sort of bus which could serve the new BRT Bus services in the East Midlands region will be boosted by the funding, thanks to the £2 billion handed to it today by the government. Some of that allocation will be used for a rapid transit network on the Trent Arc between Nottingham and Derby. Between the two cities, the Freeport, Infinity Park Investment Zone and Ratcliffe-on-Soar will also benefit from the improved bus services. South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority's newly announced commitment towards bus franchising has been boosted by £350 million in funding as part of that region's allocation. The funding for West Yorkshire will help build new bus stations in Bradford and Wakefield. Likewise, the Tees Valley Mayoral Authority will put its sum towards a new £15 million bus station in Middlesbrough. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander says: "Today marks a watershed moment on our journey to improving transport across the North and Midlands – opening up access to jobs, growing the economy and driving up quality of life as we deliver our Plan for Change. "For too long, people in the North and Midlands have been locked out of the investment they deserve. With £15.6bn of government investment, we’re giving local leaders the means to drive cities, towns and communities forward, investing in Britain’s renewal so you and your family are better off."
