Oxford Bus Group is recruiting five apprentices to mark National Apprenticeship Week.
Apprentices will be sought for vehicle mechanics and electricians to be placed across Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses and Pulhams Coaches. Applications are being welcomed from new joiners as well as existing colleagues.
The latter will also recruit for a trainee body maker who will receive funding to undertake a level 3 NVQ qualification at its body shop near Chipping Campden.
Says Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Group: “Apprenticeships play a vital role in providing the skills, experiences and opportunities to forge fantastic careers in the coach and bus sector.
“We recognise the importance of providing high-quality training via apprenticeships and are proud to offer five new opportunities later this year across the business. Apprenticeships help improve colleague retention, upskill our workforce and bring more diversity and innovation into our business.
“Full details will be published soon and so I’d encourage anyone interested to check out the website in the coming weeks.”
