‘E-gates’ open for Eurotunnel coaches
Eurotunnel has opened its new SAS Parafe ‘e-gate’ hall for coach passengers on the Folkestone terminal.
The e-gates are operating for customers crossing the border from the UK into France.
The e-gates use state-of-the-art facial recognition technology to increase both the speed and the accuracy of passport controls.
The first users were passengers on a Shearings Holidays coach.
