Berrys Coaches has joined the ranks of the country’s most prestigious coach operators by securing membership in the Guild of British Coach Operators (GoBCO).
The milestone places Berrys among a select group of just 20 operators nationwide that meet the Guild’s stringent standards.
Established in 1985, GoBCO is renowned for its rigorous membership criteria, accepting only those operators that exhibit the highest operational standards. Membership involves undergoing an independent audit, where a 100% compliance rating is mandatory.
The Guild’s quality standards encompass safe coach operations, environmental consciousness, exceptional customer service, advanced employee training and development, fleet and safety maintenance, and strict regulatory compliance. Members range from family-owned businesses to large national groups.
James Berry, General Manager of Berrys Coaches, says: “Achieving GoBCO status recognises the high standards we set ourselves at Berrys Coaches and is testament to our dedicated colleagues who go above and beyond on a daily basis. We’re thrilled to be part of such an illustrious group of operators and cement ourselves as the West Country’s favourite coach operator.”
Adds spokesperson for GoBCO Steve Whiteway: “We are delighted to have such a well-respected coach operator as Berrys join us. The Guild represents the best coach operators in the UK, subjecting themselves to an exacting independent audit every two years covering all aspects of their operation, including safety, vehicle maintenance and presentation, customer service and staff training.
“Berrys has demonstrated that its reputation is well deserved, achieving 100% compliance to a standard far more than that legally required.”
