FirstGroup subsidiary Aircoach has added eight B11Rs with Plaxton Panther bodywork to its Ireland-based fleet, supplied by Volvo Bus (02476 210250).

It is the sixth delivery in four years that Volvo has made to Aircoach and the 12.6m, 49-seat vehicles are earmarked for the non-stop service between Dublin Airport and Cork.

Says MD Dervla McKay: “We purchased our first B11R in 2014 and we have since added a further 40 Volvo coaches to our fleet.

“They are popular with drivers, and the reliability that we know to expect from Volvo and Plaxton helps us to provide a quality service to our customers.

“When the time came to expand our fleet, we had no hesitation in repeating the order.”
