Bay Travel of Lochgelly in Fife has continued its fleet investment programme with the delivery of a pair of Neoplan Tourliner P10s, supplied by MAN Truck and Bus UK.
They are finished in Glenton Holidays livery and are PSVAR compliant, with the 13.1m Tourliner P10 utilising a large door and lift over the front axle to achieve that standard. MAN says that such a configuration means that there is no encroachment on luggage space.
53 seats are fitted to each coach. Those within the wheelchair user area can be ‘shuffled’ together to make space for a disabled passenger and thus they do not need to be removed from the coach in that situation. Power is from the D26 engine developing 430bhp coupled to ZF’s EcoLife automatic gearbox.
Speaking about the deal, MAN Truck and Bus UK Retail Coach Sales Executive Chris Hunt says: “I am delighted that Iain, Gary and the team at Bay Travel have decided once again to choose MAN and Neoplan for their new Tourliner coaches.
“The flexible layout of the vehicles and increased leg room will no doubt be a success both with drivers and passengers for many years to come.” The Tourliners have MAN’s four-year/400,000km Warranty Plus package.
