Bayliss Executive Travel of Kent is a further operator to take delivery of the Irizar i6S Efficient integral. It has received four 12.9m examples supplied by dealership Irizar UK.
They are 53-seaters, with each position having a magazine net, a drop-down table, USB charging and a three-point belt. The coaches are prepared for PSVAR, enabling straightforward conversion for full compliance with the Regulations later in life.
Speaking about the delivery, Bayliss Executive Travel Managing Director Alistair Bayliss (pictured, left) says: “I am delighted with this new collaboration with Irizar, and excited about what the future may hold.
“These new vehicles will hopefully be a great additions to the fleet. I can’t thank Sam Prothero and Julie Hartley enough for the work that they, along with everyone else at Irizar, have put in to make the deal possible.”
Power is from the DAF MX-11 engine developing 408bhp coupled to the ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox.
The coaches also come with Irizar’s digital rear-view cameras in place of conventional mirrors. Reduced drag from those camera units contributes to what the manufacturer says is an overall 13% like-for-like fuel saving for the i6S Efficient integral when coupled to multiple other aspects of the new model, including its reduced unladen weight.
