Bournemouth Borough Council has recently purchased two Fiat Ducatos with Orion Plus full low-floor bodywork, supplied by Mellor Coachcraft (01706 860610).
The Orion Plus seats up to 22 passengers or conveys a maximum of five wheelchair users. It has a rapidly operating, lockable sliding electric door with a fold-out wheelchair ramp, while a 2.5m ramp is located at the rear barn doors.
A 4kW Eberspächer diesel-fuelled heating system and cant rail tracking are also fitted.
The two new minibuses will allow less-mobile passengers the freedom to travel in Bournemouth.
