Former Scania demonstrator is the first tri-axle coach for PD York Travel

PD York Travel of Wolverhampton has purchased its first tri-axle coach in the form of a K 410 EB with Irizar i6 bodywork, supplied by Scania Great Britain (01909 500822).

The 13.2m 53-seater was formerly a Scania demonstrator. It has 53 seats with three-point belts and half leather trim and piping, along with a centre sunken toilet, a Frenzel drinks unit and USB charging points.

Says MD David York: “We had been looking to upgrade a Euro 5 coach and we examined the Scania Irizar combination.

“The opportunity came to purchase a 13.2m tri-axle with a very high specification. We felt that it was an ideal vehicle for our fleet. Driver response has been very positive.”
