Volvo 9700 pair for Bay Travel of Lochgelly
SHARE

Bay Travel of Lochgelly has added a pair of B11R-based 9700 coaches to its fleet, supplied by Volvo Bus UK and Ireland.

Both are dedicated to work carried out on behalf of Glenton Holidays via its Select programme, which Glenton describes as “a splendid concept in luxury travel.” To that end, the new coaches each have only 45 seats to maximise leg room.

The 9700s quickly completed their first tours after delivery, with one travelling to Austria and the other to Ireland. Passenger and driver feedback on them “has been excellent,” the Fife operator says.

PSVAR compliance is part of the specification, including a lift immediately behind the front axle. The purchase by Bay Travel was made in a deal signed at Euro Bus Expo in 2022 and it forms part of ongoing fleet investment in coach and bus by the business.
