John Martin Coaches of Radstock recently took delivery of a VDL Futura FHD2, supplied by Moseley in the South (01823 653000).

At 12.9m, it has 52 top-spec Class 500 seats with adjustable headrests, drop-down tables, side displacement and USB sockets. It also has forward-facing cameras and powered monitors, and additional exterior lighting has also been specified.

Power is from the DAF MX-11 engine rated at 410bhp coupled to the ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.

Owners John Tamblyn (pictured, left) and Martin Rawlings (right), who also drive the operator’s coaches, collected the VDL from Area Sales Executive Simon Woolacott.

They chose the Futura after trialling alternative models from other manufacturers. The newcomer will be used on day trips and UK and continental tours.
