Llew Jones Coaches is another coach operator to deliver major investment in its fleet, with well over £1 million spent by the Llanrwst business on four new vehicles from the Mercedes-Benz and VDL brands.
It says that they have been purchased to support growing demand across private hire and UK and European tours, along with the North Wales firm’s ongoing partnership with Leger Holidays.
Prominent among the new vehicles is a VDL Futura FHD2 to Leger Luxuria specification. It is the first such coach to join Llew Jones and is described by the operator as being “among the highest specification and most luxurious vehicles operated anywhere in Europe.”
The VDL has cream leather and blue moquette seats in a 2+1 layout, with some around tables. Funtoro personal entertainment systems are among the many passenger amenities.
One of the three Mercedes-Benz Tourismos delivered is also part of the business’s work with Leger. It is an M/2 example to Silver Service specification and has 40 seats including a rear lounge.
That coach takes to four the number of Tourismos operated by Llew Jones on behalf of Leger Holidays. The operator undertook its first tour for Leger in 1994 and arrival of new vehicles for that work follows the recent success of four staff who were recognised at the Leger Drivers Awards in January.
Completing the quartet of arrivals are two tri-axle Tourismos with 61 seats in the operator’s own livery. They will be used across a wide variety of duties.
Speaking about the investment, Llew Jones Coaches Business Manager James Hadley says: “We are proud to continue expanding our fleet with these four new coaches.
“This investment of over £1 million demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing top-tier services to our clients and partners, including Leger Holidays. The new coaches are testament to our dedication to safety, comfort and customer satisfaction, and we look forward to welcoming even more passengers aboard in the years to come.”
