Wigton-based Reays Coaches has returned to Volvo Bus (02476 210250) for two B8Rs with Sunsundegui SB3 bodywork.
The 72-seaters follow four earlier examples delivered in July 2018. Good performance from those coaches influenced the purchase of more, says MD Chris Reay
.“Besides school contracts, the high capacity allows us to take two classes per vehicle, making this an affordable choice for headteachers when planning school outings.
“The fuel consumption and reliability of the B8R SB3 is perfect for us. We also needed a coach that would be robust due to the high footfall that these vehicles see daily.”
Length of the B8R SB3 is 12.3m. It comes with the 7.7-litre D8K engine coupled to ZF’s EcoLife automatic gearbox.
