Safeguard Coaches GM Andre Knight with the firm’s third Plaxton Leopard

Safeguard Coaches of Guildford has taken delivery of a Volvo B8R with 70-seat Leopard bodywork, supplied by Plaxton (01909 551166).

“This is the third Leopard to join our fleet in the past three years. Like its counterparts, it is a 12.8m model, which we find ideal for school work, airport runs, day trips and private hires,” says MD Andrew Halliday.

“It is a workhorse that combines style with performance and it complements our fleet perfectly.”

The chassis has a Volvo D8K engine that develops 350bhp driving through a ZF Ecolife automatic gearbox. It also has Volvo’s I-Start dual battery system.

The Leopard body comes with a Thermo King roof-mounted climate control unit and a 10-camera CCTV system.
