A new coach for Shaw’s of Whitley is a Van Hool TX16 Astron, supplied by Arriva Bus and Coach (01274 681144).
The 13.2m addition has 53 seats and it is powered by a DAF engine coupled to a ZF AS-Tronic automated manual gearbox.
All of the usual comforts are fitted, including a courier seat, a continental door, a DVD player and monitors, and a fridge.
It was handed over to Directors Clifford Shaw and Philip Shaw by ABC Sales Manager John Gray and will be used on a variety of the operator’s work.
