London-based A La Carte Travel Company has taken delivery of two 13.2m i6S integrals, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

They arrived following good performance from an earlier, similar coach. Says Operations Director Chris Shaw: “Two factors led us to Irizar integrals: A competitive price, and the appointment of City Circle in Hayes as service dealer for the Heathrow area.

“As we base our coaches at City Circle, that is convenient. Plus, the DAF engine is a proven product.”

The coaches are optimised for cruise transfer work. Each has a floor-level toilet to maximise luggage space and they are tri-axles to minimise the risk of overloading.

The newcomers have DAF’s MX-13 engine; the existing coach has the MX-11.
