The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is calling on coach and bus employers, training providers, trade/professional associations and relevant stakeholders to participate in the consultation for constructive review to ensure National Occupational Standards (NOS) are fit for purpose for the sector.

Consultations will be held virtually via video and telephone conference meetings in two phases. The first will look at mechanical units, while the second will look at coach and bus body units.

Meetings will run from 1000hrs to 1300hrs and will continue from 1400hrs to 1600hrs, with dates scheduled as follows:

Mechanical Units Body Units
England 28 September 9 November
Scotland 29 September 10 November
N. Ireland 1 October 11 November
Wales 2 October 12 November

Feedback and suggestions will be used to develop a draft NOS which will be sent out to the industry for wider consultation through to the end of the December.
