Port Talbot worst in UK for pollution
Port Talbot in South Wales, with a population of around 40,000, is the worst urban area in the UK for particulate matter pollution (PM10).
For 10 days last year the suburb Magram, close to the M4 and the UK’s largest steelworks, endured ‘moderate or higher’ PM10 levels – higher than any other UK urban area.
