By participating in any Competition run by Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd (“DBC”), you agree to be bound by the Competition Terms and Conditions available at divcom.co.uk/competition-terms in addition to the routeone Livery Competition Terms and Conditions of Entry.
Eligibility is strictly limited to Public Service Vehicle Operators with a valid O-Licence. Entries are limited to one vehicle, in one category, per operating business. Liveries entered into the competition must be current and in use. By entering the competition, the participant confirms that they have obtained explicit permission from the business proprietor or an authorised representative for such entry, and they agree to provide evidence of such permission upon request by the organisers. Entries for the Livery Competition will be accepted using the online entry form until 1700hrs on 25 June 2024. Entries received after the submission deadline will not be accepted.
All eligible businesses, regardless of the predominant size of vehicles they operate, are welcome to enter the competition in one appropriate category. Participants may enter the competition in one of the following categories:
Eligibility for this category is strictly determined by the combined total number of buses operated by the participant, rather than the overall fleet size. Qualifying vehicles for this category include full-size single deck and full-size double decker buses. Subcategories include:
3.1.1. Large operator (over 150 buses)
3.1.2. Medium operator (50-150 buses)
3.1.3. Small operator (up to 49 buses).
Eligibility for this category is strictly determined by the combined total number of coaches operated by the participant, rather than the overall fleet size. Qualifying vehicles for this category include full-size coaches. Subcategories include:
3.2.1. Large operator (over 40 coaches)
3.2.2. Medium operator (16-40 coaches)
3.2.3. Small operator (up to 15 coaches).
Eligibility for this category is strictly determined by the combined total number of mini/midi buses or coaches operated by the participant, rather than the overall fleet size. Qualifying vehicles for this category include mini/midi vehicles, which for the purposes of this competition are defined as vehicles with a seating capacity for fewer than 40 individuals, and a length less than 10 meters. This can include mini or midi coaches or buses used for any type of service. Subcategories include:
3.3.1. Medium/Large operator (over 15 mini/midi vehicles)
3.3.2. Small operator (up to 15 mini/midi vehicles).
By entering the competition, the participant agrees to grant routeone magazine the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to publish the content provided during the entry process, including but not limited to images, descriptions, and other relevant materials, on its website, in email campaigns, on social media platforms, and in any other promotional materials related to the competition, without any further approval required from the participant.
Once an entry has been submitted via the online entry form it cannot be edited or updated. Withdrawal requests should be made in writing to James Gale at jgale@divcom.co.uk prior to 1700hrs on 31 July 2024. No further information about any Withdrawn Entry will be published once the Organiser has been notified.
Finalists for the Livery Competition will be selected by votes from routeone subscribers made via the routeone website. Voting will open from 0900hrs on 3 July 2024 and will close at 1200hrs on 31 July 2024. Any votes registered outside of these times will not count. Subscribers may only vote once. Subscribers will be asked to vote for one vehicle in each subcategory. DBC employees are not eligible to vote. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting.
The entry that receives the highest number of votes in each of the categories/subcategories will be selected as one of eight finalists on 1 August 2024. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute an alternative finalist selection method at its absolute discretion.
The Organiser will notify all eight finalists on 5 August 2024. This news is embargoed until the Organiser has announced the Finalists via the routeone website, social media channels, and its email newsletter on 6 August 2024. The Organiser will provide the Finalists with graphics for use on social media that can be used to promote their finalist status after this time.
After the finalists have been determined, their entries will be presented to an independent, confidential Judge, who will evaluate them to determine the overall winner in each category; Best Bus Livery, Best Coach Livery, and Best Mini/Midi Livery. This impartial judging process ensures that businesses of all types and sizes have an equal and fair opportunity to win. The Judge will decide who will be awarded the Best Bus Livery, Best Coach Livery and Best Mini/Midi Livery by 12 August 2024. Decisions relating to winners are at the Organisers absolute discretion and are final.
The Organiser will notify all Finalists of the results on 13 August 2024 by email. The Winners will be announced via the routeone website, email and social media channels. The Organiser will provide the Winners with the Prize voucher and marketing collateral that can be used to promote their status after this time.
