The East Lancashire Railway saw an increase in group visits of 8% in 2016 over the previous year.
It saw 25% more visitors in 2016 overall, making it the second most popular paid-for attraction in Greater Manchester.
The railway opened as a tourist attraction in 1987, and 2016 was its best ever year, with 200,000+ visitors.
