Hong Kong operator Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) has placed a further order with Alexander Dennis (ADL) for 56 Enviro500 three-axle double-deckers. They will be delivered in the second half of 2021. The deal takes to over 2,500 the number of Enviro500s ordered by KMB since the current generation model was launched in 2012.

The 56 12.8m buses that form the latest order will be fully built in Zhuhai. They will have 98 seats and a total capacity of 143 passengers.

Says ADL President and Managing Director Paul Davies: “We are honoured that KMB continues to place its confidence in Alexander Dennis with this latest order. KMB continually challenges use to raise the bar and these latest 12.8m Enviro500 buses are testament to its commitment to world class passenger services.”

KMB’s fleet numbers 4,000 buses, making it by far the largest operator in Hong Kong.
