Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) will present two buses at this year’s Busworld exhibition in Kortrijk. The Enviro200 and Enviro500 models will illustrate the design and quality of these best-selling lightweight single-deck and double-deck buses. ADL is committed to bringing their benefits to the continental European market.

For the first time, Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) will exhibit its products and services at Europe’s leading bus show, Busworld, held in the Belgian town of Kortrijk on 20–25 October 2017.

The UK bus and coach market leader and the world’s biggest manufacturer of double-deck buses, ADL will present two state-of-the-art buses.

ADL’s presence at Busworld builds on the manufacturer’s recent success in the continental European market, where it secured a launch order for 19 tri-axle double-deck buses from Swiss national operator PostAuto.

One of these Enviro500 buses will be on display.

Drawing on its 100 years’ global experience, ADL has tailored the modular design of the world’s best- selling double-deck bus to the exacting requirements of PostAuto. Stunning in the operator’s iconic yellow livery, the 12.9m long buses have three doors and two staircases and seat 79 passengers in their air-conditioned interior. The Class I registered vehicles are purpose- designed as city and regional buses and have a fully usable lower deck.

The Enviro200 is the world’s best-selling lightweight single-deck bus. To showcase the added value this fuel-efficient and highly manoeuvrable vehicle offers to operators, as well as to inform the design of future left-hand drive examples, ADL will exhibit a London vehicle at Busworld. Specified according to Transport for London’s standards, the show bus is intended for the fleet of Dutch Railways-owned Abellio.

The 10.4m long vehicle represents just one of several length options for the Enviro200 which range from just under nine to twelve metres and can seat up to 46 passengers.

In continental Europe, ADL expects a phased market entry to ensure all vehicles are fully supported by the company’s comprehensive aftermarket services. These now include the powerful AD Connected tool which allows engineers to better plan maintenance and further reduces the Enviro family’s low total cost of ownership.
