Entrepreneur Alan Aim has revealed his purpose-built sleeper minibus, which accommodates 12 people, ahead of its first bookings.

He used the Young Bus Managers Network conference (p4-5) to reveal the newly delivered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, ahead of its first revenue earning work.

The Swansea Coachworks van conversion has 12 berths, and rather than flat beds each has a sloped upper part that also enables the feet of the next bunk to go underneath.

Under the slogan ‘Save your day, Travel by Knight’ with a knight in armour as the logo, Mr Aim says that he has already had enquiries.

He is targeting people who would otherwise travel on long-distance express coaches, and says it will be a good alternative, while saving a night’s accommodation.

Each berth has draw curtains, a magazine rack, reading light and USB port.

Based in Fife, Mr Aim already runs a 14-berth Ayats double-decker sleeper coach.
