The Keighley Bus Company has revealed more improvements which will build on the success of its Aireline service.
They include upgrades to the latest emission standards, extra Monday to Friday rush-hour trips from Leeds and additional double-decker buses for added capacity.
Says The Keighley Bus Company’s General Manager Alan Isherwood: “We’re delighted to announce our plans to build on the amazing success of Aireline, which has really taken off since we introduced our Yorkshire-built buses filled with features suggested by those who travel with us every day for work or leisure.”
The firm says the changes cater to rising demand. Customer numbers on the West Yorkshire cross county service rose 7% in 2019 versus the previous year.
The company is working with partners to understand how major employers moving to Leeds will offer more opportunities to boost bus services and cut pollution and congestion.
