Wrightbus has appointed Alex Gadd as its new Head of Business Development for Parts and Services.
In the new role he reveals he will understand what opportunities lie with current and potential Wrightbus customers.
He joins having worked for 20 years in the heavy equipment rental and manufacturing industry, which includes the road rail plant sector, JCB and Hewden.
The appointment comes shortly after Wrightbus announced a deal to build 120 buses for the Republic of Ireland’s National Transport Authority, and deals earlier in the year with body builder Volgren in Australia and operator Regionalverkehr Köln in Germany.
“I am delighted to be joining the business at such an exciting time, using my multi-sector experience to lead a business development team exploring the exciting opportunities in the marketplace,” Alex says. “I look forward to helping unlock those opportunities, building on the great work which has been done by the team over the last couple of years and contributing to the further growth of the business.”
Adds Ian Gillott, Managing Director, Parts and Services: “I am absolutely delighted that Alex has joined the Wrightbus team, especially during such an exciting period of growth for us.
“Alex brings with him a great deal of knowledge and experience. I know that he will help us in our continued drive to transform customer service and experience, and deliver beyond all expectations.”
