Asset Alliance Group has appointed Paul Fairbanks and Michael Gillen as Business Development Managers.

The commercial vehicle specialist says the move will strengthen its Bus and Coach division, with both having long experience in the industry.

Fairbanks joins the Asset Alliance from Mistral Group, where he was Regional Sales Manager, after previously spending more than 20 years running motor dealerships. He is charged with furthering the business’s growth in the Midlands, south of England and Wales.

“It’s a really exciting time to be joining Asset Alliance Group as it furthers its ambitions of becoming the recognised finance specialist and trusted partner for bus and coach operators in the UK,” he says. “I’m looking forward to using all of my industry knowledge to take the bus and coach division to a new level.”

Gillen, who moves from his role as Head of Sales (Bus) at Mellor, has 32 years industry experience, including 20 years as a coach and bus operator and more than six at Mistral Group. He will be looking to expand the business in Scotland the north of England.

“I’m delighted to be joining an expanding team based upon a clear customer service ethos and a drive to deliver highly competitive fleet solutions for our customers,” he says. “With the strong industry relationships I have built over many years, I’m confident of helping deliver another strong year of growth for the division.”

Both will report to Martyn Bellis, who took over as Commercial Director for the Bus and Coach division in February.
