Casting for Kneehigh’s production of Noel Coward's Brief Encounter – which will run in the West End for six months in 2018 – has been announced.
Directed by Emma Rice and based on the 1945 film, the cast will be composed of Jim Sturgeon as Alec, Isabel Pollen as Laura, Lucy Thackeray as Myrtle, Beverly Rudd as Beryl, Jos Slovick as Stanley and Dean Nolan as Fred/Albert, with Katrina Kleve and Peter Dukes completing the ensemble.
It will run at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 2-17 February and at The Lowry, Salford from 20-24 February, before its run at the Empire Cinema Haymarket from 11 March to 2 September.
