Bus driver retires after 50 years of service with Oxford Bus Co

[100]

An Oxford Bus Company bus driver has retired after 50 years with the operator.

Mohammed Faradoon’s career with the operator began on 8 January 1968, as a conductor and became a bus driver two years later.

Mr Faradoon says he is proud to have spent 50 years with the same employer.

“I loved every minute of it,” says the grandfather of four, who got the job as a teenager thanks to a friend who lived two doors down.

Mr Faradoon was presented with a special Long Service Award at the Oxford Bus Company’s Really Amazing Awards night at the Ashmolean.
