Coach holiday and short break specialist Caledonian Leisure has reported another year of growth in 2024, with turnover increasing by 15% to £63 million and pre-tax profits to £2.9 million.
The business operates under the Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways brands. It continues to deliver what Managing Director Graham Rogers says are “significant investments” in both its coach fleet and the growing Caledonian Hotel Collection.
That underlines a commitment “to delivering the best holiday experience for our customers and setting new industry standards,” he continues. Turnover was £55 million in 2023, and £40 million in 2022.
The approach to investment was shown earlier in 2025 when 10 further Temsa coaches were delivered. Among them was one finished in a special blue livery as part of an overall fleet of 85 vehicles.
Mr Rogers says that the growth in 2024 shows continuing strong demand for short breaks and holidays, with the Caledonian Leisure approach majoring on choice, service and value.
The business was recognised at the British Travel Awards in 2024, winning silverware in three categories as voted for by customers.
More recently it has been nominated for a Best Workplaces in Travel 2025 award following a comprehensive employee survey. Investment has also been made in a new HR training and support system, plus a new customer service platform.
Speaking about the 2024 filing, Finance Director David McDonald says: “We have delivered record results this year – a clear indication that our growth strategy is delivering value.
“We remain focused on building a business that is robust, sustainable and agile. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and are committed to doing what is right for our customers, our team, and our partners. With a healthy balance sheet and strong forward momentum, we look forward to 2025, and beyond.”
The Caledonian Hotel Collection portfolio is now five-strong. Properties in Scarborough and Callander have recently been acquired to complement those in Arrochar, Blackpool and Torquay.
