Stagecoach East Midlands has donated £1,000 to the family of Sophie Robinson from Lincoln who is raising funds to provide holidays to children living with cancer.
Stacy Southwell and her partner Ben Robinson said goodbye to their daughter Sophie Robinson from Lincoln a year ago after she was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in 2014. The pair founded the charity ‘Sophie’s Journey’ and raised over £40,000 for the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre in Nottingham.
The charity launched Sophie’s Journey Caravan Appeal to give children under the age of 18 who are living with cancer a free holiday.
Michelle Hargreaves, MD of Stagecoach East Midlands, says: “The donation will help the appeal raise enough money for a second caravan and give children who are battling cancer a chance to focus on something positive.”
Stagecoach East Midlands raised £1,000 through selling Skegness Seasiders souvenirs and storybooks.
