CastleLine bus operator York and Country is ready to ease congestion at this week’s Countryfile Live event.

The North Yorkshire service is carrying fans of BBC One’s Countryfile to meet stars of the show at Castle Howard between 15-18 August.

Alex Hornby, CEO of York and Country, encourages car free journeys to for the popular event. He says: “Countryfile Live promises to be a celebration of all that’s great about Yorkshire’s countryside – it’s the county’s must-see event of the summer. Taking our CastleLine bus helps to protect the special environment which draws thousands of visitors to the White Rose County every year.”

Those who leave the car at home will be rewarded with money-saving fare deals. CastleLine’s day return from York to Castle Howard is just £10.

Highlights of the day will include brass bands, Morris dancing, a food market and wildlife zone, as well as the chance to meet presenters Matt Baker, John Craven and Ellie Harrison.
