Bus Users UK has launched its partner pack for Catch the Bus Month 2024 ahead of the start of that celebration in September.
Accessibility is the focus of Catch the Bus Month in 2024. The partner pack contains what Bus Users UK says is a suite of free-to-use logos, graphics and posters in English and Welsh that highlight the impact that buses have on people’s lives. It also has details of how to get hold of Catch the Bus Month giant red hands.
A further component of the partner pack is an extensive list of ideas for campaigns, partnerships, events, promotions and collaborations aimed at operators, local authorities, charities and passenger and community groups, along with anyone with an interest in promoting sustainable and accessible transport.
The pack additionally contains a template press release that can be tailored to an organisation’s own brand and chosen activity, Bus Users UK adds. That is complemented by signposts to some of the latest research and surveys on bus use and transport accessibility.
The focus on accessibility for Catch the Bus Month 2024 comes as the first stage of accessible information regulations requirements from October approaches.
Campaign Manager Victoria Walker says of the partner pack launch: “2024 promises to be an exceptional year for Catch the Bus Month.
“We have already had huge amounts of interest from organisations across England, Scotland and Wales ranging from local passenger groups and community transport providers to global transport operators and representatives from across central government.
“Our focus this year is on accessibility, and we want operators to showcase the incredible work they do to ensure that everyone is able to travel. We also want to improve access by bringing together the people who plan and run services with the people who need them.”
The partner pack is available via a dedicated Catch the Bus Month page on the Bus Users UK website. Giant red hands can be obtained by contacting the charity either via email or on 0300 111 0001.
