Trico advises operators to thoroughly check windscreen wiper blades before the onset of winter.
Areas to inspect include glass coverage – that no areas are missed and that there are no streaks, smears or misting that lingers more than a few seconds.
Blade edges should also be checked with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dirt or residue.
Inspect for imperfections, and that the blade has not split. Also, ensure that the rubber element returns to a central position and that it has not flipped over in either direction.
