The City Sightseeing tour brand has returned to Bath after a four-year absence, with the restarted presence being operated directly by a wholly-owned subsidiary of the global open-top specialist.
High Experiences Ltd was granted an O-Licence authorising five vehicles in late 2025. It is part of City Sightseeing Worldwide, founder and CEO of which Enrique Ybarra is sole director of High Experiences.
An operating centre is listed as a unit on Burnett Business Park in Keynsham. On the same business park is Bath Bus Company (BBC), which has a well-established presence in the Bath open-top market and operates the Tootbus branded tour there. BBC is owned by First Bus after parent FirstGroup purchased residual RATP Dev operations in the UK in late 2025.
City Sightseeing Bath operations under contract had come to an end in recent years, but their return via a directly-owned undertaking puts the city back alongside over 100 other locations globally to host the brand. A restart in Bath means that City Sightseeing now serves 13 locations in the UK.
Material circulated by the business shows at least one Scania OmniCity double-deck for use on the Bath tour. Services for now operate in a loop every 30 minutes between 0945-1545hrs with a journey time of 50 minutes.
Speaking about the recommencement, Mr Ybarra says: “We are delighted to return to Bath, one of Britain’s most beautiful and historically significant cities.
“Bath has always resonated strongly with our passengers from both the UK and overseas, and we look forward to reintroducing a City Sightseeing experience that reflects the city’s unique character while meeting the expectations of today’s visitors.” The first day of operation was 30 January.
