The City of London’s annual Carmen Cart Marking festival will see coaches and buses old and new ‘marked’ for a fee of five shillings (25p), in a 500-years-old tradition.
The vehicles on show at the event this Wednesday (17 July) will range from the 1923 Foden steam bus ‘Puffing Billy’, to Westway Coaches’ brand new Yutong TCe12 electric coach.
A number of historic AEC buses will be there, including a 1939 double-decker Regent, as well as Bill Hiron’s colourful 1986 Ford Transit, and a 2018 MAN MobiPeople coach.
The event starts in Guildhall Yard, City of London at 1030hrs, with free entry.
