Five drivers from Stagecoach Manchester’s Wigan depot have raised money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity by taking part in a sky dive.
Darren Tanswell, Chloe Roper, Jamie Sinclair, Joyce King and James Turner jumped from 13,000 feet at the Black Knights Parachute Centre, Lancashire, raising £1,850 for the charity.
Stagecoach Manchester has supported RMCHC as its charity partner for two years.
Darren Tanswell, Driver for Stagecoach Manchester, says: “The jump was amazing! It scared the life out of me, but it's for such an amazing cause. It’s a scary thought to hear of children suffering when they’re still so young, so it was worth every minute up there to help RMCH fund their life-saving work.”
Stagecoach Manchester MD Elisabeth Tasker says: “The team which took on the challenge worked really hard to fundraise and it’s great to see all of their efforts have been rewarded.
“We’re proud of each and every one of our employees whose acts of selflessness and courage help to raise money for charity. I’d like to thank the team for their dedication and commitment in raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
