Country Lion has been accredited as a member of the Guild of British Coach Operators, putting it among a 25-strong roster of businesses that are part of the scheme.
The Northampton operator explained to routeone during 2023 that it had an outright focus on quality, customer service and safety and membership of the Guild furthers that, says Transport Manager Paul Shaw (pictured, right).
“Joining the Guild is a natural step for Country Lion as we seek to align ourselves with the best in the industry. The Guild represents a standard of excellence that we strive for in all aspects of our operations,” he adds.
The Guild of British Coach Operators celebrates 40 years in 2025 and says that its members – which are drawn from England, Scotland and Wales – “uphold the highest standards of coach operation and meet frequently to discuss best practice.” Provision of mutual aid to fellow Guild members is also part of members’ work.
Welcoming the latest member, Guild of British Coach Operators Chairman Anthony Winson (pictured, left) says: “Country Lion is a great fit, having excelled in the independent audit required to gain membership coupled to its long-held reputation for excellence.
“It is already benefitting, as are our other members, from the exchange of good practice and cooperation through our various focus groups.”
